Andrew Yanev, a partner in EQE Consulting, specializes in experience-based catastrophe risk management. From insurers and reinsurers to power and gas utilities to biomedical and financial corporations, Andrew has co-developed and applied Yanev Associates’ experience-driven process to managing risks. He also manages Yanev Associates' power generation projects, including SMAs and PRAs for European power utilities.
Andrew previously served as a reinsurance broker at Guy Carpenter Inc. in New York, and as an international political risk consultant at BAE Systems Inc. in Washington, DC. His past work focused on finance and business continuity related to natural disasters, political risk and terrorism. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Economics and French. Andrew is based in New York City, where he is a philanthropic leader with the American Museum of Natural History.
